First time going to a Waldo’s and they did not disappoint. Went in for a quick lunch break, had the blue cheese cob salad(the fried chicken on it was good and super fresh dressing), biscuits (perfect balance of soft, chewy, cheesy, savory AND a little sweet) and the banana pudding...Oh the banana pudding, I honestly think it’s the best I ever had. Don’t believe me just try it! And best of all was the service. When Josefa realized it was my first time she brought be a couple things to try, on the house! She is incredibly kind, thoughtful and generous. To further illustrate her incredible character, as I was walking in a female customer was walking out to hand some money to a guys who asked for some spare change. Josefa peaked her head out the door and made sure the lady got back in her car before opening the door for me. Food was great but the customer service was outta this world!

I believe it was Mark Twain who once said: "One of life's simplest pleasures is good chicken, and cold beer." Waldo's was amazing. Chicken was juicy and had maximum crunch. The cheese biscuits are unassuming little popover style muffins but I could have happily eaten about 3 orders of them to myself. They brine the chicken 24 hrs to keep it juicy and make everything from scratch, including the hand breading. Staff was very attentive, manager was checking on quality of service at every table. Overall I would highly recommend this chicken shop. It is just dang good food.

The biscuits brought us in. We heard about these amazing cheddar biscuits from a friend & just had to try. I ordered a fried chicken plate (dark meat) w/ greens & potato wedges. This is definitely my new favorite fried chicken place. The banana pudding was incredible & freshly made (nilla wafer was still crisp!).

I absolutely enjoyed my first time coming to Waldo’s Chicken & Beer. When I walked inside, it seemed like a very relaxed environment. I ordered takeout and it only took about 5-10 minutes to come out. I ordered the 4 piece Chicken Tenders with Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens with their signature sauce. The staff was nice and very inviting. I liked my time and I will be definitely be coming back.

I know I'm late to the game on this, but Waldo's on Charotte just served up one of the most enjoyable meals l've had in ages. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. I mentioned to the cashier Tracy that it was my first time, and she was sooo helpful. She seriously went above and beyond. She told me they make all their sauces in-house (there must've been at least a dozen!) and even let me sample the teas before picking a drink. She crunched some numbers for me when I said I may just want 1 or 2 tenders (not pictured on menu) instead of the 3-tender. Fruit tea is oddly hard to come by in Nashville nowadays and theirs is great. I went with the chicken tenders, onion rings, and fruit tea-a full beige plate with zero regrets. The GM, Josefu, found out I was a first-timer and surprised me with biscuits and, later, banana pudding. Unreal. The whole staff is just a vibe. Genuinely friendly, funny, and welcoming. Honestly, l'd come back even if the food was "just okay," for the energy alone. But lucky for me, the food IS good. Rollin' out of here! 10/10 beige food experience 5-star staff (you can tell they actually like each other) Fantastic jams - think Nothing from Nothing by Billy Preston

Tried Waldo's for the first time with my partner, and we really enjoyed it! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Greens are good with hot sauce. Loved the jalapeno ranch sauce. My partner didn't like the beans but did like the flavor. He just preferred a different type of bean. The hostess Tracy was very helpful and very kind. Tracy was great about recommending things for us as well as what to pair it with. We'll be back! Apologies for the pics. I didn't think about it until after we ate but it's proof of how good the food is.

Counter-order, take a number and sit at a table or bar. Above average service for casual type place. Fit the bill for a quick lunch. Would return to investigate the cocktails and bar scene during a game maybe. Highlights were the cheddar biscuits and banana pudding.
